my new favourite photographer. Alec Soth (born 1969, Minneapolis, Minnesota) is an American photographer. his photography has a "cinematic feel with elements of folklore that hint at a story behind the image" (says Wikipedia). in his work i see a big William Eggleston influence (my fave, duh) with a hind of Corinne Day. his first book, Sleeping by the Mississippi, was published in 2004, and his second book, Niagara, was published in 2006. Soth has photographed for The New York Times, Fortune, and Newsweek.

Mother and Daughter, St. Paul, Minnesota, 1999.

what else would get me blogging again, but the best shoes in the whole world?

really though, the best. i've been secretly craving Creepers for a really long time, what with their little coffin secret compartments (what do you THINK i'd put in there? Skittles, OBVI). but really, who do i think i am? Avril? i could never pull these off. luckily UK's Irregular Choice, made a pair for me.

real Creepers.

Irregular Choice's wanabe Creepers.

they're like if Tim Armstrong and Macaulay Culkin circa Party Monster got in a brawl.

i want. i really, very, truly, want.

pay check on wednesday! uh oh...
